D2L Brightspace setup
Create an LTI Advantage tool in Brightspace and exchange public registration values with RFM.
Prerequisites
You need Brightspace administrator access to Manage Extensibility, an RFM staging invite, and a sandbox course.
Register the tool

Open Admin Tools, Manage Extensibility, then LTI Advantage.

Create a tool using RFM’s staging OIDC login, redirect, target-link, and JWKS values.

Create a deployment for the test organization unit.

Copy the Brightspace issuer, client ID, deployment ID, authorization endpoint, token endpoint, and keyset URL into RFM.

Create a basic launch link in a sandbox course and launch as a learner.
Brightspace notes
D2L is the company and Brightspace is the LMS product. These docs use “D2L Brightspace” on first reference and “Brightspace” afterward.
